What is the criterion for Mary to be the incubator for the seed that was to be planted in her supernaturally?

26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”
29 But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and considered what manner of greeting this was. 30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. 32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. 33 And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end.” 34 Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?”
35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing will be impossible.”
38 Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.
Mature
To be betrothed you had to be physically mature. But God is looking for a womb that is mature spiritually. A womb that can carry the seed. We are the bride therefore we are Mary. The womb that will carry the seed. From the beginning there has been an attempt to kill the seed.
There is always a Pharaoh spirit. Our maturity which the bible called perfection in Eph. 4:12 is essential to the whole process of protecting the seed.
Nothing can be produced from an immature womb.
Available:
There must be an availability of the womb. When the master requires something he has no time to wait. In Matt. 21 he told the disciples to go and get the donkeys and he said if anyone ask you why are you taking the them say the master has need of them. God is sovereign he can take what he wants when he wants but he is also a gentle man. He doesn’t barge into our lives without warning. The womb that is not available can never be used for such an amazing event.
Availability does not mean that you sitting and have nothing to do. The women betrothed in those days was responsible keep herself pure and untainted
Radical.
Mary means Rebellion….it is strange that God would choose someone with a name that means Rebellion to protect the seed. But her rebellion was not against God but rather against the system. She says in Luke 1:38 be it unto me according to your word…women were stoned for being pregnant without marriage. And the husband to be would be the one to throw the 1st stone. But she was so radical that it didn’t bother her if people were going to accuse her. Her job was to incubate the promised seed. We need believers with that capacity. Rebellion against the word and God’s statutes are illegal but rebellion against the system is what needs to be seen. David rebelled against the system of Saul. Now we wouldn’t want to call it rebellion but it had to be done.
Jesus was called a troublemaker and a rebel because he didn’t do what the system wanted. The systems of the world will label us all kind of things but we have to have this attitude to protect the seed.
Yielded
Mary yielded herself to a God she did not see. That is faith… she heard a messenger. And she sings a song in response to the announcement.
This is an act of submission. Vs. 38 again be it unto to me…we must yield our will, emotions and our bodies to the purposes of God.
Mary did and by doing that she has a secured a place for herself in the annals of time forever.
